Comments: For a simple qualitatswein, I didn't expect much, but I was wrong. Color was a pale golden yellow. Fragrant nose filled with dried apricots and pineapple. Great acid balance with good residual sweetness. Wine stood up to a roasted chicken with lemon. Great flavors of more dried apricots, sweet pineapple, citrus overtones and with surprising depth. Finish was far better than I would have believed. This is a luscious wine, agreeably sweet and straightforward but not cloying. certainly a wonderful Mosel, much better than its pedigree suggests. Possibly 89 points.
