A terrible winter: it was below -25°C for several days in January and still quite cold during the first two months. Damage was considerable, and several hundred hectares had to be ripped up. Frost struck again at the end of April, accentuating the difficulties. Good weather finally set in around 1 July and saved the end of the flowering. The bunches were not very numerous, but the average weight was sizeable. The harvest was very healthy, beginning on 30 September and ending 11 October. In late October, the second-generation grapes, that came out later, were picked in full ripeness. The yield ranged from 1,000 to 1,300 kg (890-1,157 lbs/acre) depending on the parcel. The degrees were high (12.2%), and acidity satisfactory (TA of 8-9.5, pH of 3). - Alcohol : 12.2%
