Termes-Toro 2005

Comments: I must admit I was deeply disappointed with this bottle because I had loved the 2004. I don’t know if it really was the year, the situation, the meal chosen or my taste buds, but it was a far less pleasant re-visit. The wine was not bad of course, but it was much more overwhelming and ‘hot’ than I remember. It really seemed not to be able to stand alone and the predominant memory in my mind after each taste was “jammy Australian” – which of course it is not. I hope it was a bad set of events and that the next of my 4 or 5 bottles (I liked it last time darn it – so I bought several) will not disappoint
